About My Handspun

Handspun yarn is unique and imperfect with bits of it somewhat thicker and thinner in some spots. Each of the yarns you will find here are lovingly handspun by me on one of my spinning wheels in my pet friendly and smoke free home.

Once spun the yarn is gently soaked and hung to air dry and never weighted so they maintain the wonderful spring associated with a handspun yarn. Once dry, they are skeined and measured as accurately as possible. Handspun is so unique, I highly recommend you swatch a gauge for whatever project you choose for your yarn.

Hand washing in cool water and drying flat is recommended for your finished treasure, even items made with superwash yarn.

Photographing the beautiful colors is probably the hardest thing I do. I like to photograph my yarn outside in diffuse morning or evening sun so you can see the true colors in natural light. I do my very best to accurately capture the correct colors of the yarn.
